Originally from the Bronx, she was raised on a steady feast of Motown, The Rolling Stones, Ike & Tina, and Koko Taylor. She is a graduate of the Northside School of Performing Arts in Atlanta.

He has recorded with artists including Mariah Carey, Jody Watley and Kool & The Gang and has been active in the Garage House music scene since the 1980s. He worked at Ace Beat Records, a US Funky House, Gospel and Garage label, and its sublabel, Ace Beat Studio. A native of Jamaica, he currently resides in Orange, NJ.
